Leicester's Spacetoast are back with another indie tune this time in the form of 'Bedroom Song'. It's emotionally driven, catchy and brings down the pace of their usual high energy live shows, leaving crowds swaying.

Speaking on their new single frontman Dan Hewitt says:

"In this song I wanted to try and write something with a little more harmonic depth and colour than anything we've released before."

"I feel like we've done the catchy 4 chord song with our last release Hate You and wanted to do something differnt that had a little more meaning with our new song whilst not straying to far from the Spacetoast sound."

"We took influence from artists such as The Strokes for a general structure and the guitar solo is influenced by early Smashing Pumpkins and we take some of the offbeat rhythm ideas from JAW's sound. I think this song has been thought about in a lot more depth musically than other songs we have released previously."

If previous release 'Hate You' is the big night out then 'Bedroom Song' is that post night out feeling in all its nostalgia and reminisces. Spacetoast provide a song that shares in our indecision when it comes to straying from our usual path.

Speaking on this Hewitt says "It's called Bedroom Song because the lyrics are about an internal argument, a dilemma sort of thing I had with myself which took place in my Bedroom."

"It's all about trying to decide wether to persue a new relationship after having being hurt by a previous one. I think trying to sort of outline the fact that if something is meant to happen then it will, wether you want it to or not initially."

''The first line 'I don't want your love... Just the feeling' sorta highlights the initial denial as I refuse to accept something despite wanting it. It sounds like a lot of information but it took me weeks to write the lyrics to this song and the overall meaning changed as the weeks passed, as I had this debate with myself, in my Bedroom."

2019 has been a huge year for Spacetoast and they refuse to slow down. Make sure you catch them.

Make sure to grab a ticket for the bands single release show at The Shed this Saturday (21.12.19) with support from previous new noise feature band Factory Girls, The Webs and Velvet Blush.

'Bedroom Song' by Spacetoast is set for release on the 21st of December and will be available on all major streaming platforms.
