Jools collide in new track ‘Hysterical Starving Naked’, it’s angry, it’s chaotic, it’s booming.
Leicester’s very own new and restless loud band Jools are set to release crashing lead single ‘Hysterical Starving Naked’ this Friday, and not without anticipation. After a successful run of live shows that leave audiences wondering how frontman, Mitchell Gordon, isn’t battered and bruised, to starting mosh pits where possible; not forgetting that each Jools gig serves as a reminder as to why we should all say “F*ck the Tories”, ‘Hysterical Starving Naked’ encapsulates this. It’s sharp, gritty, passionate and is anthemic in an upturned political state and divided society.

A debut single for the band it's rhythmic and driven, distortion throughout as guitars screech, Gordon and Crowson's voices piercing through the 3 minutes and 8 seconds of fuzz and steering drum sequences. Gordon growls as he spits out his words, both exasperated and imploring. A comment on the bands standing and perception of the state that our society is in, delivering it with more complex musicality than you notice on the first play. Instrumentation clashing, but still harmonious.
Jools aren’t here for you to like them or for your nan to want them to play at her 80th, they’re jarring, honest and confrontational. Creating live shows that are up, close and personal and singles that you’ll have roaring out of your speakers. ‘Hysterical Starving Naked’ is the perfect comment on everything that you want and need to hear.
'Hysterical Starving Naked' the latest single from Jools is available on all leading streaming platforms on the 8th of November.
